An attractive, single-storey, stone-built cortijo situated on a private terrace with fantastic views down the valley. Outside there is a shaded patio, a barbecue area and a swimming pool. On the same plot but completely separate is another traditional Alpujarran cortijo arranged around a pool and courtyard, converted into two self-contained letting properties, with magnificent views down the valley. The cortijos are approached via a tree-lined track that ends at a parking area which can easily accommodate five vehicles.

The Cortijos
Cortijo One is a large two-storey stone cortijo of approximately 200m2 converted into two self contained three bedroom apartments, each of 100 m2.

Apartment One has an attractive entrance area, a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with breakfast bar, wood-burning stove and fireplace and patio doors to a lovely terrace. There is a large separate bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two further large bedrooms and a very large family bathroom.

Apartment Two which is on the upper floor also has a large lounge/kitchen/diner with a wood-burning stove and fireplace, double doors to a terrace which overlooks the pool and patio area, three large bedrooms, one of which has direct access to the terrace, and a large bathroom.

There are stairs down to the patio, pool and gardens area with a walkway that leads to Cortijo Two, which is an attractive one bedroom cortijo of approximately 60m². The cortijo has a spacious lounge with double doors to a private terrace and a fireplace with wood-burning stove, a kitchen/diner, double bedroom and a bathroom. These cortijos retain many original elements such as chestnut beams and are thoroughly charming.

Between the two cortijos is a lovely patio with shaded sitting areas and a shared swimming pool.

Outside there are beautiful gardens which are irrigated by an automatic irrigation system and outbuildings for storage of tool, gardening equipment etc. 

The situation is particularly peaceful with only the enchanting song of birds and the sounds of the river below.

Mains electricity is connected and the property has substantial acequia and spring water rights for irrigation which is done through a drip feed system. Broadband internet is available.

Location
The property is situated only a few minutes from Pampaneira, the prettiest of the villages in the Poqueira valley with a range of shops, restaurants and bars. The regional capital of Orgiva, with all facilities is under 20 mins away, the historic city of Granada can be reached in 1hour and 15 minutes, the beaches of the Costa Tropical in under an hour and the airport at Málaga in under two hours.
