The Mill is a truly unique property, a wonderful rural retreat set in its own private “barranco” (valley), surrounded by 4,668m2 of mature woodland and a constantly flowing river cascading down through the finca forming numerous natural pools which are perfect for cooling down in the heat of summer. The Mill house itself offers spacious accommodation over 3 levels and has been carefully restored over several years, retaining much of its rustic charm – the old mill workings and grinding stones are still there – while attention to detail is evident everywhere. Each of the 3 ensuite bedrooms have their own external entrances – one down beside the river, and the other two leading from a “tinao” – a feature of Alpujarran/Berber architecture which connects separate rooms. But the star of the show is water – the river, three fountains keeping the air cool, and of course, the swimming pool and hot tub. The Mill will be a favourite for a summer retreat for those who want to chill out in absolute privacy and wonderfully calming, tranquil surroundings. There is an additional building at the top of the land which is in a ruinous state with 317m2 to rebuild, an ideal project which could make additional accommodation for rental or extended family member. The property has a current tourist licence so could be bought as a going concern.

Mains electricity is connected, water from the river is stored into tanks and then chlorinated before reaching the house.

The municipality of Juviles is located in the central part of La Alpujarra Granadina. It limits with the municipalities of Trevélez, Bérchules, Lobras, Cástaras and Busquístar. Much of its municipal area, located on a small plateau surrounded by chestnut trees, is located in the Sierra Nevada National Park. Likewise, the core itself and the land below it are part of the Historical Site of La Alpujarra. Juviles is structured as a "town street" on the lake of the provincial highway, which also crosses the population center, dividing it into two distinct parts: the Barrio Alto and the Barrio Bajo. This road organizes its structure and the main streets run parallel to the road, which in turn, is drawn following the contour lines. This fact, together with the relatively flat topography on which the nucleus is based, means that it does not have the long and steep streets so characteristic of the towns of La Alpujarra. For the rest, Juviles keeps the most traditional peculiarities of the region, with narrow streets, nooks, tinaos.
